Blackberry is going to be acquired by an Indian called V. Prem Watsa, owner of Fairfax Financial Holdings Limited.

Blackberry was the King holder of Smartphone during the 1999-2007 period until the introduction of Apple iPhone. But the touch screen scenario of Apple has made the fall of Blackberry QWERTY Smartphone in all ways. The company has tested many systems like OS, UI etc. but fails miserably in the market. The most expected Z10 plat formed with BB10 OS has also come to a dead end in no time and these all possible reason made Blackberry to go for Acquisition.
According to a 2013 report, BB has made 6000 crore of loss in the Smartphone market; due to this reason 4500 employers have lost their job also.

As i specified, the Blackberry is bought by an Indian for 29,000 Crore who has made a company called Fairfax Financial Holdings Limited in Canada. Earlier he has 10 % share on the Blackberry Inc and also a person in Board of Directories. He is actually an MBA holder who bought up in Hyderabad and migrated to Canada for helping his brother. Later he registered Fairfax Financial Holdings Limited by acquiring different other companies and now he is one of the billionaire in Canada nick named as ‘Varan Baft’.
Anyway the final agreement should be signed only on November 4, so we have to wait whether this sold out benefits Indian Smartphone lovers or not.
